Political contributions are not tax deductible.  Corporate and union contributions are prohibited by law.  Registered lobbyists and the principals of organizations they represent are not permitted to make contributions to candidates for the General Assembly during the legislative session.  Colorado law requires the disclosure of the name and address of all persons who contribute $20 or more to a political campaign, and the occupation and employer of those who give more than $100.  Contributions are limited to $400 (or $800 for couples when each gives the maximum).
